Another Cow Day

"You just have to take it easy sometimes"

I have shot images of this small herd in the past. It consists of cows that produce calves for beef rearing each year. Of course it is a new set of calves this time which are quite well grown already.
The area that they are normally turned out on is only accessible on foot and I usually reach it by bicycle. I cheated this time and parked the car and walked it.

They are all great Models and like to pose for me.

The location consists of a long winding narrow field (about 3 miles long) with a high ridge running along the middle. Its a great place for the cows as they can choose which side to lay out of the wind and in a sunny position.

"This is my best side"

  4. Hi Roy, they are lovely. I especialy like the cream-coloured cow/calve, she is very sweet. Also the black and white cows from the back.
I know the cows have to wear these yellow eartags, same as in Holland, but I think we have to complain, they aren't very nice on the cows and the pictures :-(.

    Regards,
    Marianne

Cows are lovely animals and are quite peaceful really, but I understand as I have a friend like you from my original part of the World that will take large steps in the opposite direction rather than get too close to cows. {:))
