Dragons and Damsels

These are the first I have seen this year. 

Four-spotted Chaser




Large Red Damselfly


Banded Demoiselles are not easy to get close to and I will need to improve these shots I have taken so far.

    HI Roy Improve those shots, you say!! I think they are wonderful. If only I could get anywhere near one and then for it ti sit still for me, that would be a miracle. Don't down yourself so much. Margaret

    Oh, Roy, these pictures make my heart sing!! Just beautiful! I had a Four-spotted Skimmer on my property just the other mornng. Sadly, he didn't pose so nicely for me and my pictures aren't sharable!! I was pretty excited, none-the-less!

    wow - just love those demoiselle - is French surely? The metallic blue/green is soooo beautiful. Lovely snaps from you Roy; what a great time you have finding beautiful insects

    Hey Roy...Improve "What" they are stunning!!
    The Red on the buttercup is very showy, but the Banded with those outstanding shades of blue and green is a beauty!!

    Stunning images Roy and a great variety of Dragons & Damsels :-) For one reason or another I haven't been able to get out and chase these summer beauties yet but I'm glad to see that you have had better luck :-) Those Demoiselles are real beauties aren't they !
