Horses in the Wood

During a woodland walk on a Natural England Reserve I came across these horses.
It was warm and still and flies where swarming around these poor animals. They really should have had the fly face masks that are used to protect horses from being bothered too much.

  1. beautiful photos of the horses Roy and I agree, I'd hate to think my animals were suffering fly-bite like that.

  3. Hey Roy...Are these horses just roaming about in no confinement???
I like that little black and white one, with his hair hanging in his face, hope that helps keep the flies from his eyes!!
I agree they should have there eyes protected, that must be very annoying for them, and even worse the chance of infections!!
