Paris in Springtime

Where I have posted about previous visits to Paris in the past, I have shown images of all the famous and well photographed places/sites. I thought I would post something a little different from my recent visit last week.

Blossom in a side street

A view from the Apartment

Any guesses as to where this is below?

This image is the giveaway.

The Louvre of course.

Hanging in the Louvre? well yes it was, but in the Swatch shop, not in the Gallery.

Only a University with the name 'Leonard De Vinci' could look like this.

The growth of green leaves and flower buds were unsurprisingly way ahead of England.

The Grande Arche de la Defense from the back of a moving Metro train.

A much visited Establishment below.

Loosely translated below, "Roy, the hot sandwich any hour".
Well, what can I say.{;))

A Scots Piper in Paris???
Well OK, he was wearing shades.

Just one view of the Champs-elsees

  1. Lovely set Roy.
I've never been to Paris, so I found these interesting.
One thing I did notice; how clean and tidy everywhere looked.

    1. Thanks Keith, yes there is a difference, they clean up regularly and also don't throw litter around in the first place.

  5. It looks like you had a great time in Paris, even finding sandwiches named in your honour ;-) I haven't been to Paris for many, many years but it looks like the city is thriving with lots of new buildings and whatnot :-)

    1. Thanks David, yes it is thriving and not at all like London, the new buildings are mainly in the Le Defense area.

  6. It looks like you've been having a great time Roy. Your photos certainly show the atmosphere of the place. The blossom is lovely. I can't say I liked the De Vinci uni much though. Good to see you got your name on the wall ;-)

  9. Ooooh such envy!! Great shots and like the others I was impressed by the cleanliness. But then litter is becoming a real hobby horse of mine, I am so tired of seeing plastic bags hanging from trees and litter all along the road sides and even the lanes. It looks dreadful, is dangerous to wildlife and so lazy and dirty. End of rant. Hope you had a lovely time:)

Yes the Louvre in particular is always worth a visit. You will never see it all in one day.
