The Flower Arranger

I know - not more Siskin.

I found a small flock high up in a flowering tree on my walk. This was the same tree I photographed a pair of Bullfinch the other day.
If the weather ever warms up, this is the same tree in previous years where I have found Peacock butterflies on the flowers.

  1. Lovely collection of shots Roy and dare I say it looks positively spring like in these photos ;-) The blossom is certainly more advanced in your neck of the woods !

    1. Thanks David, the sun shone for a minute or two just as I was taking the shots. This tree with some blossom is one of only a few. A lot of the buds on trees remain very tight.

  5. White cherry blossom is so pretty! I suppose the Siskins like the young buds? I'm watching out for migratory birds returning this weekend... do they know we are changing the clocks tonight I wonder!

  9. We are still 4 weeks away from having fruit blossoms. The Siskins are great. Catching them with blossoms is just stellar.

  11. Hi Roy

This brought back good memories of watching the purple finches eating the buds of the aspen during spring at the farm.

    Thanks
