Hey Roy...Snow what's with that, all the same it made for lovely scenery shots!! I really like the tree in the middle of the field, and the bark and shadows on the close up tree !! What is the snowy white bird!! Grace
Well in Finland that is what spring looks like, but no, it is still horribly cold in England. I heard the long term forecast was for cold all the way through April.
Finland looks a nice looks a nice place to live Helena and also much better equipped to deal with this weather than UK. Through April !!, you really know how to cheer people up don't you.{:))
This year will go down in legend I think. The good thing is that at least the days are growing longer now! And, hey, you had a bit of blue sky! I like the leaves and the tree bark - and the birds, of course!
BBBrrrrrr! I know that was a c-c-cold w-w-walk Roy! Hope you had some nice warm soup afterwards. Some lovely landscape shots and I thought for a nano second that the back of that flying swan was the front!!! What rarity had you taken! Silly me! (-:
Thanks Jen. The biting wind made it much worse. I posted the high flying swan as I liked the cloud and blue sky and the position of the bird. I suppose it could have been some large seabird flying in the other direction.{:))
Hard to believe it's nearly April isn't it ;-) Lovely wintry shots Roy, you certainly seem to have had more snow down there compared to here. I also really like the Swan shot, especially the deep blue colour of that wintry sky :-)
What a beautiful area to explore and photograph and it looks like you have the same issue as us, never ending winter. Loved all your bird photos from the previous post too.
The only thing that looks like spring is your header!
ReplyDeleteThats about right at the moment Karen.

ReplyDeleteThanks Alison, there is also a very slight increase in temperature today.
DeleteSpring? What's that Roy? :-( Lovely images of the rather bleak views we are all seeing at the moment I suspect.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos from your garden on the last post too, good to see the Siskins are still with you.
Thanks Jan.
DeleteSome views a lot worse than these to Jan.
Ahhh! Doesn't the British country side look great in the Spring?
ReplyDeleteGreat set of images Roy.
I'm just polishing the runners on the sledge in readiness for a midsummer day's outing, the snow should be perfect by then!!...[;o)
Thanks Trevor, yes don't forget your thermals.

Ha! That's what it looked like here earlier in the week.
ReplyDeleteThe snow has just about gone now Steve, but the temperature hasn't risen.

ReplyDeleteThanks David. I should like to think that we will get a some nice Spring and a good Summer, but I doubt it.

ReplyDeleteThanks John, it is part of my local patch.
DeleteHowever the never ending winter is taking the shine off of it at the moment.
I am becoming completely forgotten how the spring looks and how it feels Roy :-) Very nice set of pictures which I really like especially the trees
ReplyDeleteThanks Helma.
DeleteSpring is cancelled.{:))
