Crocus Returns

The Crocus plant I found the other day on a woodland path is still to my surprise, intact and in flower.

So I took a couple of shots with the sun behind the subject.

Lumix GH3. 12-35mm 2.8 lens. 1/400 at f4.5. 35mm. ISO200.

Lumix GH3. 12-35mm l2.8 lens. 1/400 at f5. 35mm. ISO200

I also took a couple of 'Soft Focus' shots, which I think provides a nice alternative to in focus images providing the light is right.

These always brighten a day. I saw a couple of this type a few days ago.

  12. A super set of photos to cheer us all up. The first in soft focus is very striking, the shadows and the angle make it seem very 'other-worldly'. They almost look like exotic fungi:)

  14. This lovely crocuses. I am equal to the spring thinking. Here come the crocuses just above the ground, but the weekend is unfortunately snow predicted.
