Sand Martins (Revisited)


Another visit to Radipole Lake revealed that the Sand Martins are very active now.

Some will briefly pitch on the fences providing an opportunity to get a closer image.

    Patience rewarded! They were very active at Minsmere earlier this week - no chance for anyone with my short attention span to get a photo!

    hirundine numbers are really low here! I've seen a few local swallows and no House Martins! Nice to see the Sand Martins
