A Few Flutters of Interest.

I returned to Cerne Abbas, Dorset which is about 8 miles from home in search of the Duke of Burgundy Butterly. Yet again I failed to find one.

Of course I normally find some during the season, but not this year yet.

Here are the species I did find.

Grizzled Skipper

Dingy Skipper

Small Copper

Green Hairstreak

Speckled Wood

What colour is an Early Purple Orchid.
Well it is purple of course.
It can also be pink and white.
(Orchis mascular)

The Grey Wagtail Pair located near the bridge (see below) continue to search for food for the Brood, which is in full swing now.

  3. Bonjour Roy.
Tu trouveras tes papillons je n'en doute pas.
Ceux là sont très beaux, tes photos fabuleuses comme toujours.
La nichée de bergeronnette se porte bien alors ?
