Another Chiffy.

The Chiffchaff - One of the few Summer migrants left now to take photographs of. 
He was busily dashing about on the top of young tree catching flies.
Some remain until October, so this one will soon be packing his suitcase.

  1. Wonderful captures of it - I managed a distant shot of one yesterday but like those hawker dragonflies, they don't stand still!! Lovely photos of the butterfly on the previous post too. :-)

  5. Saw a wheatear yesterday in a farmer's field near Newark, the white rump is so startlingly bright as it flies

  6. If I were in England I might mistake this bird for an orange-crowned warbler! But, I think I have already told you that! What a cutie!
