Wonderful captures of it - I managed a distant shot of one yesterday but like those hawker dragonflies, they don't stand still!! Lovely photos of the butterfly on the previous post too. :-)

Saw a wheatear yesterday in a farmer's field near Newark, the white rump is so startlingly bright as it flies
They are on their way South now Simon, lots of reports of them at the Observatory on Portland flying out to sea.
If I were in England I might mistake this bird for an orange-crowned warbler! But, I think I have already told you that! What a cutie!
