Scenes from a Cycle Ride (Part 2)

The second of a two part post about my latest cycle ride.

Sugarbeet.

Common Mallow at the edge of a Barley field.

Very green Elderberrys

Oats.

The remains of an Oilseed Rape crop.

Small White Butterfly on Sea Binweed.

I am beginning to find that I am running out of places to cycle and photograph something different around the area that I live. I have to cycle at least 4 miles to get out into the country and I am seriously at risk of repeating the same images.{:))

  1. It's always good to see the images from your cycle rides Roy, be they repeats or not!

I've noticed that the harvest is now beginning to gather pace with lots of combines out and busy in the fields. There's only one slightly depressing image in your set...the sugarbeet! it reminds me that it'll not be long before we'll be seeing snow covered piles of these on the edges of the fields!!

Nice to see the Mallow thriving at the edge of the field...[;o)

Still at least you will know what jacket you have to put on before you go out.{:))

  2. Hi Roy Repeat away! I love seeing your countryside shots and they will never be the same as nature is never static. We aree coming (shortly)into autumn and that brings many changes. KEEP them coming an anyway, just think of all that exercise you are getting!!

  4. It looks like it was a good day to be out and about. Your elderberries look a little different than ours. Ours are already ripe.

  6. Love your pictures, but I understand your urge for somewhere new as well. My walking buddies and I are finding ourselves driving ever further before we walk!

  7. I know how you feel. I am normally covering the same area daily and it is hard to find different things to show. I've just about given up cycling. Too many impatient and speeding motorists on the narrow country lanes these day.

    1. You are right of course Helena. My problem is I expect to be able to see something completely different each time and it doesn't quite work out like that though.

  12. Really a very nice blog with a variety of different pictures. That cornfield is truly beautiful but also the Very green Elderberrys. The horses have also been very nice. Photo 4 is superb as with that purple against the colors of the cornfield :-)
