Wild Spring Flowers

Some of the wild Spring flowers coming out in flower now for us to enjoy.
All of these flower around the same time, but the Bluebell is just coming into bud in only a few places and its only just a few buds amongst the mass of plants observed.

  2. Are your bluebells Spanish or Native? The flowers seem to be sticking out at all angles. You've got pretty much the same as me, only I don't have any woods to see wood anemone in!

    1. Native Simon. Woodland with anemones growing are generally quite ancient.

  3. Lovely flowers Roy, at the zoo they have wonderful gardens and wild areas and I noticed the bluebells just starting to appear.

  5. I just got back to New England. It is...you guessed it...snowing! I think that we will see our crocus blossoms sometime in June this year.

    I'm going to move to England where the weather is a bit balmier.

    Bluebells already.."wow"!! The white violet with the purple is a stunner.!!!

      We are getting strong winds at the moment,which is keeping the temperature down and the Butterflies hidden away.

      You will only see this in ancient woodland.

  13. So many different kinds of flowers... that is why I love Spring, to take photos...
    My favorite is the Wood Anemone. We don't see them here... they are beautiful!!!

  14. Gosh the bluebell is early! I have big clumps of leaves so far. Love all the floral shots, and I know how hard celandine is to photograph without getting blown out shiny bits, but then I know you are an amazing photographer! :-)
