A Tern's Failure

I was stood at the side of a lake photographing dragonflies pitching on rocks, when my attention was drawn by something out of the corner of my eye. 
It was this Common Tern approaching and diving to catch a fish. Unfortunately I wasn't really ready for the Tern, but the fish was, as he missed it. 
NB. The images are as is and uncropped.
