The Meadow Crane's-bill (Geranium pratense) is a small blue flower that could almost go unnoticed as one walks by a patch of them growing. Closer inspection reveals that they are a dainty and beautiful species especially in the right lighting conditions.
I couldn't decide which one of these to post so I presented all three.

Lovely shots Roy. Personally I like the first best of all. More depth showing the shape of the flower.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots, going with the number 3, another one of my faviouret flowers, they stay in flower for a long time and we have large amounts of this plant at the park, Butterflies love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda.
DeleteLovely Roy :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, up the road from where I live, Morden Bog, a rare eagle has turned up, the Short Toed Eagle. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-27656057 Quite exciting but I would not want to go to Morden Bog at the moment with so many people visiting the area to see this eagle. My Partner often goes running at Morden Bog.
Thanks Lyn.
