I have often mentioned that I visit Ferry Bridge which is located between Weymouth and the Isle of Portland. It is in fact part of the Fleet Lagoon Nature Reserve and a great place to photograph birds of many species. This includes a variety of waders, geese and ducks.
The first two images show the end of the Reserve area. The Fleet Lagoon is an Internationally important location for migrating and wintering species of birds. It is tidal and this provides a variety of Wader birds a reliable source of food during the 24 hour period. As the tide subsides the birds dig into the wet sand/mud to search for food.
Looking South East towards Portland Harbour.
Looking North West along the Chesil Bank towards the Fleet water on the right side and the English channel on the other. It is no place to be in high winds.
C'est un endroit magnifique, ce devait être différent pendant les tempêtes.

Salut Nath. Le Fleet Lagoon mesure environ 12 km de long et est bien visité par de nombreuses espèces d'échassiers.
