Meadow Brown Butterfly

The Meadow Brown Butterfly
One of our most common species which can be found throughout the UK.


Below the female is on the left and Male on the right as you look at it. 


The female (below) has the most defined and colour markings out of the pair.

    Nice photos. Surprisingly few butterflies at Hills and Holes when we were there - a wonderful Man Orchid though.
