During a local walk today I found a male and a female Golden-ringed Dragonfly.
This is only the second time I have ever observed this species and both times were here in South Dorset.
They are on the wing between May and September.
The female at 8.4cm long is the longest dragonfly species in UK. The male being 7.4cm.
