Marsh Fritillary

The first part of a three part Post of butterflies observed over two days at the foothill of the Cerne Abbas Giant, Dorset.

A lot is made about the Duke of Burgundy Butterfly which is shown in the second post. 
However, I think the Marsh Fritillary butterfly shown below is much prettier to look at.

  1. Yep, that's a cracking little butterfly Roy, and you've got some lovely images there. I must admit to being just a little envious...okay, a lot envious! I guess I'll just have to be content with having some DoB's close by. ...[;0)
