Single Image Post - The Wheatear

The end of September walking around Portland Bill one can still find a few Wheatear.  Its migration South to Sub Saharan Africa commences in October. It will return again to UK in the Spring. This one I photographed was one of seven observed feeding on open grassland.

  1. Still a few appearing here too, so you may have one or two more to come.

  2. Always a great little bird to see. The first one I ever saw in Great Britain was in coastal Wales and I thought I had found a rarity, not realizing that it is, in fact, fairly common.

  5. Great pic, Roy! I’ve only seen one, once. It was walking down a walking trail in Texas, just as cocky ang self assured as you please. I was able to snap a few photos, but none as perfect as this.
