Goosander (Female)

Another irregular visitor to the parkland lakes this week.
This female Goosander was showing quite well and close enough to get some photographs.

This bird also breeds in Iceland and Scandinavia.

  1. Turning your hand to the 'exotica' now then Roy?...first you scooped a Scaup and now you've found this red-headed beauty! What next, I wonder?
    Cracking images all round....[;o)

  3. Lovely photo's of this very nice and special waterbird! You could really get close, great. I saw them today, but they were veeeeery far away, so I was happy I had the telescope. I think I never managed to make such nice photo's as you did.
The blue heron by the way is also very well captured in its habitat!

    Kind regards,
    Marianne
