Scenes from a Parkland Walk

Images taken on a recent Parkland Walk

Ramsons

Speedwell

A Dunnock having collected insects is waiting for me to leave the area so that he can feed his young in the nest.

Lady's Smock

Peacock Butterfly

Great Tit

A Garden Warbler not being very cooperative as he tries to hide in the bushes.

This Starling below had already caught several insects in flight and was after another one.

A male Blackcap hiding deep in branches of a tree.

Sometimes an image of a bird can be more artistic if it doesn't fill the frame of a photograph and you can find a suitable background to support it.

Goldfinch

Mallard

Mute Swans feeding on the low hanging leaves of a Willow tree.

Grey Heron

You tend to get a bit use to the same scenes, but I always try and take something from a different angle.

  9. Love the picture of the Ramsons, it is lovely to see the woodland floor covered with these. The Speedwell, I have in my garden which I have allowed to spread so I don't have so much grass to cut :-) I read they are annuals, so I hope my Speedwells keep up speeding along my lawn, what's left of it :-) Lady's Smock is one of my favourite wildflower.
