Fortunately there are still some Pasque Flowers in flower, although they are at the end of the season now at the location where I observe them.
I took all of these images towards the end of the afternoon and the low sun provided a different presentation of the flower when taken from the right angle.
The next four images below are a variation on a theme.
There are still a few fresh plants around.
I think that the flowers that have gone to seed provide a special image all of their own.
These flowers are so delicate and a wonderful colour you must have been down on the ground to take these from that angle and I like that. The seed heads are beautiful in their own right.

DeleteLovely flower Roy, one I have not seen. Had a Look and it does not grow as well in Yorkshire, there are only a few places were you can see it as far as I can tell.
