Damsels Delight

On my walk yesterday I had the first sightings of the Damselfly this year.
Hopefully it will be a better year for sightings throughout. I certainly missed a few species last year.

Banded Demoiselle (M)

Large Red Damselfly
Red eyed Damselfly (Fem)

  5. It's good to see the damsels and dragons emerging now Roy...at last I can believe that summer is upon us!
As always, a cracking set of images, especially the Banded Demoiselle .
You might want to check out the last one again though, I'm pretty certain that it's a female Red-eyed Damselfly....[;o)

  6. Three nice captures Roy and I concur with the ID for the Emerald.

Plenty of Demoiselles along the tow path today but they tended to stay hidden due to the wind!
