I returned to the location where I had photographed the previous lot of Spotted Flycatcher and discovered several more of the same. These were very active flying out from their perches, catching airborne insects and returning to the perch. They were fairly approachable and if you didn't move about much they just continued eating and perching.
Super set of images Roy, especially #3. They certainly sat well for you...[;o0
ReplyDeleteYou sure got a lot of great photos of what I assume is a very restless and quick-moving subject! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks D. I have seen quite a few a martins in recent days.

Lovely set of pictures of the Spotted Flycatcher, in this post and the previous one. I like the ones with the red berries:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lyn.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! They look much more cooperative than my Great Crested Flycatcher. The elderberry bush looks like a popular hangout.
ReplyDeleteThey are too busy taking on fuel for the long haul flight Steve, to notice me nearby.
