I visited Radipole Reserve Weymouth last weekend and found several female Siskin in the tall Alder trees.
I did see one male, but couldn't get a decent shot. So a return visit was necessary to track down this uncooperative male.
Sure enough a male (answering the descriptionđ) was discovered amongst a lot of Goldfinch in the same batch of Alder trees.
Some of the Goldfinch mentioned above.
A Cormorant drying out his wings observed on the lake. The white filoplumes on the side of his head are present prior to breeding.
A Woodpigeon searching the ground for food.
I like this particular scene at Radipole and shoot it quite often especially at this time.
Hei Roy! Aivan ihanat valokuvat hienoista linnuista. Muutama kuukausi vielÀ, niin ne tulee tÀnne takaisin.
