A selection of images taken over the last week.
Mr Tufti was a sleep on the job and didn't want to be photographed.
The main bird of interest was the Siskin, which was observed on some Alder trees in Radipole Reserve.
I counted six females and one male. I just couldn't get a good shot of the lone male though.
At Lodmoor Reserve a Little Egret and a Grey Heron were searching and finding plenty of large worms in the water bed.
The usual flocks of Mediterranean gulls were resting at Lodmoor.
A pair of Mute Swans observed at Radipole.
Hei Roy! Ihanat linnut.
ReplyDeleteKiitos Anne.
DeleteGreat images! We used to have lots of Siskins in the garden when we lived in a place with a stream across the road, and Alders in our garden. Haven't seen any since i moved to the south, but we have Serins in the summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy. A Serin, a bird I have yet to see.
DeleteWouldn't be surprised if they don't start appearing in the south one day, with climate change! M
