Mr Thrush and the Ivy Berries


I observed this Song Thrush feeding on the Berries of the Tree Ivy (Hedera Helix).
Tree Ivy provides a food source for Insects and birds in the form of nectar pollen and berries, it also provides shelter.
The berries have a high fat content and is a nutritious source for birds.

    Upeat kuvat. Tänään meidän pihalla oli räkättirastas (Turdus pilaris). Nyt on luvattu yli -20°C pakkasia, toivottavasti lintu selviää.
