A Local Walk - Mostly in the Rain

If you see a group of Long-tailed Tits in the Autumn or Winter flying about it means they are just searching for food.
If you see two Long-tailed Tits in the Spring leaving and returning to the same location, especially a Bramble Bush, then it is every chance they are nest building.
I watched this pair doing just that this week.

Jackdaws are very active as usual around my local walk.
They tend to be easily disturbed at this time and regularly fly up and then relocate elsewhere in the same field.

Robins are starting to make a lot of noise now and will challenge other birds that dare to enter their territory.

Lesser Celandine

Cherry Flowers

Chiffchaffs are starting to sing their repetitive song now, which I heard for the first time this Spring.

When are we going to get some Spring weather.?
The outlook remains dull and wet.

A flock of sheep have been moved into this field which gives me something different to look at.

Keeping low out of the wind. Very sensible.

In Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.
