  6. Lovely bird, we have one who comes into our garden regularly, we hear the tap, tap, tap on our path and find empty, broken snail shells everywhere :-)

    1. I found a 'Thrushes Anvil' the other day a small stone at the side of a path with broken shells around it Lyn.

  7. Hey Roy... I can see that your Song thrush is very much like our Hermit,and Wood thrush.
    There song is so wonderful. I hear them in the woods just in back of the house here. I do get to see them now and then,but not when I have the camera of course.
    Nice photo's of it, especially love there chest markings!

  8. ...love those beautiful speckled feathers. We took a walk in the deep woods yesterday and were serenaded by two Wood Thrushes...such a beautiful song.

  9. Roy, what a simple beauty this bird is. I can only imagine its song! Our thrushes sing so beautifully. I have been seeing and hearing both hermit and Wood thrushes here, as well as the occasional Swainson's thrush! Oh, and Veerys too!
