A Primrose Year

Its definitely a 'Primrose Year'.
I haven't seen such and abundance of wild primroses before in the areas that I regularly walk, as I have this year. This includes open areas, alongside tracks, on banks and even deep in woodland areas. There must have been some weather pattern that is suitable for such prolific growing.

  2. The same is certainly true of lesser celandine as well, I've not seen so much in a long old time. Carpets of it at places like Farndon church, even in my folk's garden!

  3. I love how primroses make their own bouquets scattered along the tracks and in the forest.

  4. Beautiful primroses Roy, they are certainly prolific down your way this year :-) I wonder if the dry winter & spring has had anything to do with the numbers, as well as the lack of any sharp spring frosts this year?
