Reed Bunting

This was one of those days (which has happened before) when I went for a walk and within the first few minutes was able to observe with good sightings and photograph a reasonable image of a bird, on this occasion a Reed Bunting. While the remainder of the walk revealed very little of interest to photograph.

This bird which was one of three, appears to be a male in winter plumage.

  6. Great photos of a cute little bird! I like when something special shows up quickly on a walk because it takes the pressure of photographing things later. Nothing worse than wandering around for hours with nothing but a few tree shots! :)

I go for walks only to come home to find more in my back yard!!

    1. Yes its a normal position for this breed Helena, they like to sit at the top of the tree or bush.
