I have really looked, but can't find a Med Gull amongst them Roy! Nice of people to feed the gulls, gives an interesting group of shots. J Follow me at HEDGELAND TALES
Hey Roy...I am finally back on blogger after a go around with Goggle blogger!! grr That is quite the gang of gull!! They are overlooked for there beauty, especially here, they don't have a good reputation lol!! I really like these photos some great action going on making different varying shades, and shadows!! Enjoyed this post! I will have to admit I don't often think of gulls as being beautiful, but these are great! Also love how the coot managed to be in the pictures too. Maybe he likes to "photo-bomb".
Great practice results, Roy. I've never seen so many Gulls together, even in a photo! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Petra.

I have never been that lucky to see one yet John, or should I say never knowingly seen one.{:))
DeleteRoy, those are some of the prettiest gulls I have ever seen! Wonderful lighting on that plumage!
ReplyDeleteThey do vary with the different ages Kathie and as they are one of our common species we do tend to overlook them a lot.
DeleteIt's always good to practice Roy! I've been stuck in practice mode for years!!...[;o)
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to practice at all Trevor, you images are always brilliant.

DeleteLovely sharp shots Roy. I was looking in amongst for a Med Gull. Not sure if you get them over that side of the country?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, yes we get them apparently, but I haven't seen them (unsurprisingly).

ReplyDeleteThanks Kathryn, yes there are some really nice species of Gull to look at anyway. Coots are everywhere.
DeleteHi Roy
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dance of greys and whites with a coot for a dark accent. Very nice.
