Some great pictures of this secretive bird. I only ever seem to see them when the mere at Fowlmere is frozen, which doesn't happen very often these days.
Thanks John. I only went to Fowlmere in the summer.
Oh my, what big feet you have! Were you well-hidden or was the rail just intent on dining? Beautiful series.
Thanks Wilma. Yes, mine are size eleven.I was well hidden as this species is not keen on interacting with humans.:-)
HI Roy...Beautiful series o pictures of water rail... Regards
Thanks Ana.
Wowsers, you got some cracking shots of a normally very elusive bird! I have tried commenting on a few of your posts from my ipad but I don't think they worked, it seems very touch and go as to whether they post or not!
Thanks Mandy.I have probs with commenting on two blogs in particular, but that was after warnings from the Anti virus software.
Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my blog
