Two species of interest observed at Ferry Bridge, Weymouth a few days ago.
The Mediterranean Gull and the Brent Goose.
The Mediterranean Gull.
A small flock resting on the water at Ferry Bridge dressed with their Winter plumage.
This is a good area to find them during the Winter period
Brent Goose
Another species I also quite expected to find at Ferry Bridge.
Brent geese of the dark bellied variety.
There were about 30 in number on this occasion.
It is not uncommon to find considerably more than this.
The med gulls are wearing a gorgeous shade of lipstick!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wilma. I never found lipstick to be attractive on a lady. Better without. 😇
