Yellowhammer

In a location where this species is known to frequent, I found this male below.
Shortly after I found a pair.

I watched this pair for a while and the female came quite close at one time.

    Great portraits and character studies. I grew up with these little beauties a common sight in the hedgerows and farmyard. Such a pity how their numbers have dwindled in so many areas.
