Parkland Walk

The Parkland that I walk regularly is starting to look decidedly wintery now.
Even the horses are wearing their jackets.

The Robin having now regained its colourful plumage is not afraid to show itself.

The trees along the riverbank have lost most of their leaves.

The male of our famous visiting pair of Stonechats to the Parkland.

The places Squirrels get to sometimes.

Male Great-spotted Woodpecker, a regular visitor to the bird feeders adjacent to one of the bird hides.

A Goldfinch highlighted by a short burst of low afternoon sun.

A sparse time in many respects, but there are always photo opportunities to be had.
Low sun and the sight of some winter birds already will give us something to shoot at.

  2. You seem to have found some excellent subjects for your camera. I had a squirrel fall out of a tree right in front of me the other day. It was difficult to decide which of us was the most shocked. He certainly recovered his wits quicker and scampered off!

  5. A little sunshine in the park, Roy. Squirrels can be quite acrobatic, but they do get themselves into a fix now and then.
