More Chalkhill

A second visit to the Chalkhill Blue colony revealed that there is quite a healthy population this year.
This is very encouraging after only finding one last year.

  2. Roy, I think these are one of my favourite butterflies, such delicate colours. It's good news that your colony is doing well.
I'm lucky enough to have a large colony thriving in an old chalk pit about two miles up the road from me. When I visited the other day there were literally clouds of them taking to the air in front of me as I walked along the pathway...a lovely sight to see!...[;o)

There blue color is just something I don't get tired of seeing, only wish I could see a blue one here.
