A Butterfly Shoot

A Butterfly Shoot collected over the last few days.

Large Skipper (Male)


Orange Tip (Male and Female)




Small White (Female)


Dingy Skipper
First sighting of the Meadow Brown of this year.

Meadow Brown (Female)


The Marbled White was the first sighting of the year for me. 
It was the only one and in high wind was difficult to keep up with.

  2. You have been rather lucky with your Butterflies, and wonderfully photographed, as we have not round here. Had my first Butterfly of the year in the garden on Saturday, which caused great excitement...a Speckled Wood

  6. Well done on still having orange tips about - they were around for about a week here then disappeared. Skippers are fun. Can never tell the large from small and end up guessing half the time!

  8. A good selection Roy, I'm still looking for my first Large Skippers and Marbled White's of the year. We need more sunshine and less wind!!...[;o)
