Scenes From a Cycle Ride (1)

A very sunny day for my latest cycle ride out into the countryside.

Wild Daffodils are a feature along much of the road side in the area.



Primroses are also plentiful now that the warmer weather has arrived.




Wood Violets. I found a large patch on a flat grass area adjacent to the road side


The Wood Anemone covers the floor of two patches of woodland on the route that I travelled.



Lumix GX1. 12-35mm f2.8 lens. 1/800 at f7.1. - 35mm(70). ISO160

Lesser Celandines can be found everywhere as well.



I took a number of images of this flock of sheep, which I think are quite close to lambing.

    Lovely images from your cycle ride Roy. The sights and colours of springtime are looking so much better now that we've got some of that long awaited for sunshine!...[;o)

    Hi Roy,
    I expected some images of a motorcycle...
    But this series will do :-) and is very very nice. The Wood Anemones are gorgeous, but I also like the other images. Mr. Ed is cool!

    Hey Roy....Very calming, and peaceful post!!
    In spite of the barrage of bad news from the media, there is always the beauty of nature to bring calm to the craziness around us !
    So many beautiful flowers, I especially like the Violet :), and the Wood Anemone!!
    The thought, and sight of little Lambs melts the heart!!

    An enjoyable cycling tour (or at least the first part of it anyway), with lots of lovely countryside and images Roy :-) The Wood Anemones in the woodland are simply stunning and may well be one of the finest displays I think I have ever seen :-)
