Out on my latest shoot I found a few favourite species that everyone likes to see.

( I think this one was a first year Robin)

Dick Turpin - the masked highway robber.

Great set of images Roy, They show how beautiful the birds that live in our back gardens are, most people don't notice them or even bother to give them a second glance!...[;o)ReplyDelete
Thanks Trevor, yes before we know it some will get really scarce as well.Delete
They're lovely Roy. They may be 'common' but they are definitely favourites and as Trevor said all too often overlooked. Having said that I don't see Nuthatches regularly at all and am very envious of your photo, I have only ever managed a poor record shot!ReplyDelete
I am lucky with Nuthatches having observed them in a certain woodland area for several years now.
Hey Roy..Not sure who Dick Turpin is, but I know that the masked Nuthatch is one of my favorite feeder visitors..if fact he is here right now having a suet feast!ReplyDelete
I think this is the first photos of the Robin I have seen standing tall and at attention, : )!! Second one of the Blue Tit is a cutie!!
Thanks GG, check this out.Delete
These birds are so nice. The pictures are great, sharpness, colour, everyting looks very, very good.ReplyDelete
Blue tit and Robin are two of my favourites as well. These birds are what I always say: lovely, little and cute.
I particularly like the Blue Tit. They have that same sweet look that our Chickadees and Titmice have. I don't think the "masked robber" has a very effective disguise :-) Your Robin is so different from ours and very pretty. Let's hope the "common" birds never go away! What a loss it would be for the world.ReplyDelete
Thanks Mary, unfortunately some bird numbers appear to be decreasing, but then others quite the opposite.??Delete
Oh Roy! Such beauties so beautifully photographed!ReplyDelete
All fantastic shots Roy though the 2nd Blue Tit shot is my personal favourite :-)ReplyDelete
beautiful birds, each of them and wonderful photographic captures RoyReplyDelete
beautiful series of Blue Tit, Robin and the Nuthatch. Beautiful compilations there between. Beautiful colors and great attention to detail. Very nicely done. I then also right here on google +.
