A New Year and at last the rain has stopped.
There are still many flooded fields and swollen rivers, but the weather looks to improve.
This Robin was quite happy to pose for me. This is certainly a change from recent weeks when the wind and rain was keeping many birds hidden away.
A typical view around the low lying local fields.
Rivers will take a few days to subside.
Hazel Catkins - Hopefully a look towards Spring and better weather.
A first visit to the Reserves around Weymouth revealed a few of the resident and visitor species.
Brent Geese and Dunlin at Ferry Bridge.
Two residents at Lodmoor.
The Stonechat and the Tufted Duck.
Unfortunately Radipole Reserve was closed due to extreme flooding.
