My latest visit to Lodmoor Reserve at Weymouth revealed another flock of Golden Plover.
This was a much smaller flock than I observed last December, probably only 25% of the previous.
However I never miss a chance to take some photographs of this bird irrespective of the numbers.
Unfortunately, from my position, the flock was facing away from me into the wind most of the time whilst on the ground
Stunning photos! I remember seeing a flock in Norfolk, at Burnham
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon.
DeleteGreat photos, Roy. I always love to see them when they settle on the black, peaty fields in the Fens.
ReplyDeleteThanks John. Yes I have seen that and it really shows up the colour of the plumage.
DeleteVau! niitä on tosi paljon!
ReplyDeleteHei Anne. Luulisin, että niitä oli noin 500.
DeleteBeautiful photos of the golden plovers. So many. Sometimes there are here but far away. Hae a nice day. Greetings Caroline
