Wren at the Water

During a Sunday walk the highlight of the day was a Wren drinking by the water.
It is the first time I have seen any activity at this point on the river for a while now.
Hopefully, soon I will get to see Spring visitors at this location like last year at this time.

A Northern Visitor

Redwing

On my very windy walk this morning I was fortunate enough to observe one of two Redwing moving about a small copse.

Although the twigs and branches got in the way I was able to get these few shots.

An attractive Winter Thrush, the Redwing is often seen with the Fieldfare in small groups.
The problem with observing Redwing/Fieldfare is that they may visit an area for a few days in which case you may be fortunate to get a second look.
Alternatively they may arrive and disappear almost immediately.
I got these shots in respect of the latter.

Ferry Bridge/Radipole walk

A visit to both Ferry Bridge and Radipole, Weymouth revealed much of the normal species that would be present at this time.

There were no waders at Ferry Bridge on this occasion.

Radipole showed nothing other than the expected.
