Lodmoor - Egrets - Great and Little

The Great White Egret and the Little Egret are both regular visitors to the Lodmoor Reserve at Weymouth.

The Great White has a yellow beak and black legs and feet.

The Little Egret has a mostly black beak and black legs with yellow feet.

  1. Such elegant birds. How excited we'd have been to see these a few decades ago. Cattle Egrets seem to be getting much more numerous along the Ouse Washes too.

    1. Thanks John. A Cattle Egret would be good, if they came to visit.
