Peacock

Be honest, can you really walk by a Peacock Butterfly and not take a few photographs of it ?
Even though you have photographed it many times before and its a resident common species that can be seen throughout the Summer.

  1. I always like to see what you are photographing and these photos are beautiful, not seen Peacock Butterfly this year so far, but I have had a good year at spotting Painted Ladies.

  2. Too stunning to pass by! A very cooperative individual, too.

  3. I tell myself every time...no, you don't need any more, you've got a whole library full of Peacock images, but the message never seems to get through to my shutter finger and before I know it I've got a few(?) more to add to the collection!
It's a stunning butterfly Roy...who could resist capturing it's beauty and you've certainly caught it in all it's glory here....[;o)

  4. Beacause the one I saw today has been my first clear view of one - they've not been at all numerous here all year.

  5. ¡Qué razón tienes, querido Roy!, la Inachis io es una de las mariposas comunes que nunca puedes dejar de fotografiar, el brillo de sus colores nunca nos deja indiferentes. Un abrazo desde Asturias.
