Another Encounter

This male Muntjac Deer was making his way along a 'deer track' which emerged from one wooded area across an open woodland ride to another wooded area. He didn't see or hear me for a while as I was down wind. He was sniffing the ground (a habit of deers) as he moved slowly across.  Something spooked him as he then turned and ran back into the original wooded area. Deers tend to follow recognised tracks and pathways through woodland of which can be observed quite easily.

    1. They tend to hide well in built up areas, but they are there somewhere.

  9. Hey Roy... Nice catch on the "I'm out of here shot's". The deer in my backyard would have there tails in the air ( or flagged) and be of. They are not always easily spooked especially the ones that frequent the backyard. There has been 9 of them and they do have woodland paths, but also through my gardens. Grrr. Some of my plants seem to be delicacies to them . Love the color on the speedwell, and as always wonderful photo's.
