An Orange Celebration (Part One)

Orange Tip Butterflies are quite numerous now in the areas that I observe.
They have appeared over the last week and especially the females have now emerged which are usually a little later than the males. Not a colonising species they roam over some distance.

In this first part I have included both male and female of the species. The male of course has the orange tip to their wings, the female has a grey washed out tip. Both sexes have the mottled underwing markings.

The second part to this two-part post provides more action between the male and female.
