Scenes from a Cycle Ride

Scenes from my Sunday cycle ride.
The sun shone occasionally although eventually clouding over, but there was a keen Northerly wind.

Daffodils can be found along the roadside just about anywhere.

Much of the land has been sowed for Spring and Summer crops.

Wood Anemones are still showing quite well.

Young Barley.

Another wood with a good showing of bluebells.

Harvested Conifer trees.

Barley leaves.

A really nice display of Primroses found in a copse alongside a road.

I found a few pink Anemones.

The yellow Rapeseed flowers are in abundance now.

NB. All images were shot with a Sony RX100.

  1. Hey Roy... What a fabulous post of scenery, and blooms. The pink Anemones is so lovely, but the color in all those photos of flowers are lovely too.
Have any problems bike riding lately. ;)

  4. Beautiful photos Roy and it looks like it was a good cycle despite the current frigid northerlies which are sweeping across the country :-)

That Sony camera certainly produces some lovely colours, especially as regards the wildflowers. The first shot of the Wood Anemones with the bluebells behind is stunning.

Interesting looking church as well, the community which it serves much have been very wealthy at one point to afford such a grand building!

    Hope you are well :-)

    1. Thanks David, yes it would have been a wealthy area. Still is by modern standards.{:))
The Sony RX100 is the original Mk 1. The Mk 4 must be pretty good now.

  13. Lovely pictures of the Bluebells, the Anemones, the Stitchwort and the Primroses covering the woodland floor. I like seeing daffodils along the roadside, both the wild and the hybrids.
