Another in my series of From the Window.
I was able to snatch these successive images of a Blue Tit feeding one of its young. The rain was pouring down and the light was awful. There was both the parents feeding four fledgelings in a rather wet tree outside the window.

Meanwhile the male Chaffinch below looks on at the proceedings.

Hi Roy Great shots of the bird feeding. Have you ever considered video,.perhaps that would have been a good time to have taken a small clip. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret. No, I have never been interested in video.
DeleteWow, are these taken through the glass or with the window open? And I'm interested to know what camera you are using because there's hardly any noise given the high ISO. Excellent photos - love seeing baby blue tits being fed but feel so sorry for the tatty looking parents! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy, shooting through double glazing, I was using a Sony Alpha 6000 and E55-210mm lens.
DeleteThe ISO ratings ranged form 2000 to 3200.
Nice ones, Roy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wilma.
DeleteGeweldig mooi om dit zo uit je raam te kunnen zien.
ReplyDeleteBeter als het niet had geregend Bas
DeleteGreat captures, Roy, and beautiful details. Good you didn't give up the shooting! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Petra.
DeleteRoy, well done for having shot through a wet and rainy window!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathie.
DeleteThe Blue Tit closely resembles a Blue Jay, except for its size of course. I enjoy watching bird parents feed their young- these are great captures of such a moment. I've never seen a Chaffinch, beautiful plumage colors- thank you for sharing them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan.
DeleteBrilliant shots, Roy! Very well captured...
ReplyDeleteJust amazing...
